Sheldon D. Venner, CPA – Owner

Sheldon is the owner and founder of Venner & Associates, LLC.  He has over 20 years of diverse private and public accounting experiences across several industries and in various capacities.  He holds a Bachelor’s of Science with a concentration in Accounting from Christian Brother University, Memphis, TN.  He went on to earn his designation as a Certified Public Accountant and is currently licensed to practice in the States of Florida.  Sheldon began his early career as a senior auditor with Coopers & Lybrand now Price WaterhouseCoopers, St. Vincent & the Grenadines. He then moved out of public practice to private where he served in the capacity of financial controller for R.C. Enterprises Ltd., St. Vincent & the Grenadines.  Upon relocating to the USA, he joined Sealed Air Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, as a senior financial accountant.  His last private accounting assignment before reentering public practice was in the capacity of Financial Controller at Hardware Designs, Inc., Fairfield, NJ.  He now resides in Central Florida with his wife and three sons.

 

Ken Gerrick, CPA – Associate

Ken started his education at City University of New York and went on to earn his MBA from Columbia University.  Before beginning work in the field of accounting, Ken obtained his CPA. Ken’s professional history includes Manager of Auditing at Coopers & Lybrand in New York, NY, Manager of Strategic & Financial Planning at Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Kansas City, MO, Manager of Financial Analysis & Mergers and Acquisitions at BellSouth Enterprise in Atlanta, GA, and Chief Financial Officer at Amoco Foam Products in Atlanta, GA. Throughout his career, Ken has provided tax and financial services to the insurance, medical, law, fitness, beauty supply, childcare, food service, vending and entertainment industries.

 

Dougal Myers, BBA Acct. – Associate

Dougal began his career in 1993 as an associate at a fast food restaurant, working his way up to restaurant management. In 1997 he accepted a position as clerk in the corporate accounting department.  Since graduating from Georgia State University in 1998 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Dougal has held various accounting positions to include, accounting manager, director of finance & accounting and most recently VP of Finance and accounting with Concessions International, LLC for over 23 years.  He literally worked his way to the top.  He is now an independent financial consultant for small business startups and adviser to many small and large companies in the food and beverage industry.

 

Stuart Gittens, ECD Solutions – Associate

With over 25 years of IT experience, Stuart is the owner of ECD Solutions which was started in 1994 providing solutions to healthcare, banking & hospitality industries. Stuart has been an award winning developer with a small but dedicated client base across multiple countries.  ECD Solutions takes a pragmatic approach to their client needs and specializes in software design/development,  with a specific strength in database solutions. His expertise in building collaborative tools has lead to multiple publications. He is our trusted resource for all emerging technologies as it relates to the different platforms and client needs in which we operate in,  with a focus of enhancing efficiencies, productivity and business value.
